Thanks, been waiting for this.

[GJM] is a nice group of individuals who love anime and are carrying on the fansub tradition in their preferred style.
For reasons pertaining to their honesty in labeling their releases for this series, they have been attacked since episode 1 by a vicious troll. He avoids attacking every other sub group that is taking the same approach to this series. It seems the word honorifics triggers a response in weebkid that resembles aspergers syndrome.
03/12/2018 21:57 — Anonymous
Really silly to complain since people can add honorifics themselves. It's so easy to do.
And if somebody doesn't like honorifics it's easy to remove them too. None of these things should be issues.
03/12/2018 22:03 — Anonymous
Most here are too lazy and want to be spoon-fed.
04/12/2018 22:41 — Anonymous
Tbh I mostly hate the ingratitude. I mean, nobody HAS to dl a FREE release.
And if somebody can type complaints, they can type -san into a sub. :p
02/12/2018 18:37 — Anonymous
BS fag. Same sub as horriblesubs, Eri Raws & Baked fish = redundant.
02/12/2018 19:31 — Anonymous
Some of us like having chapters, the others don't have them.
What makes you think the thanks are over the subs?
02/12/2018 20:09 — Anonymous
That was some weeb sub-fag that thinks any thanks on releases without honorifics is about the lack of them.
03/12/2018 00:59 — Anon
it's not the same lol , watch it first before talking + the last week they released their sub before the official one and horrible bla bla , so how was it the same ?
02/12/2018 19:45 — Anonymous
Chapters in a 24min show? Seriosly? That's the dealbreaker? Mataka...
02/12/2018 20:35 — Anon
Chapters can be a so called deal-breaker. I prefer them myself because I can quickly jump past the OP. OP and EDs get old rather fast. I don't feel the need to watch them every single time I put on a show and chapters are more convenient then using fast-forward.
Good releasers usually add chapters etc, some even add cover art.
Everyone has their preferences and I'm sure you do too.
03/12/2018 01:35 — Anonymous
Lmao, the end card is usually done by TV broadcasts, not the fansubs. Chapters are a must though as you mentioned. Still, they are too minor to be called a deal breaker. Personally, I'd rather have honorifics on good releases, but it's easy to modify them anyway so no big deal.

However, my only problem is... GJM doesn't bring anything focal except a few minor edits, typesetting and chapters. These are too small of a re-work to actually claim they have done it from scratch.
03/12/2018 01:48 — Anon
I never said they do everything from scratch and I didn't know they claim to, do they? I didn't start the 'deal breaker' comment, the guy above me did. I just like that it has chapters and I don't care either way about honorifics, if they're there fine, if not fine.

GJM's release for Index 3 is an original translation by their team. It's not a simple crunchyroll edit.

♫with pure contempt for any picture honey, just dedication to the frame...♫ You NPCs hone in on the most bizarre things. PC''s don't really care abou the technicalities, as long as it's not all pixilated and not out of sync then its a good encoden nuff said.

What anybody with any awareness really cares about is a good sub that flows seemlessly in the background, and the best way to that is to have commonly used names and terms written as they are spoken. Any attempts at anglosition is as trying to put a square peg in a round hole, the two linguistic systems are way too incompatable for simple straight swaps.
05/12/2018 00:09 — Anonymous
Having Kuroko call Misaka "Sissy" is a fucking crime, "Sissy" in no way informs the complexity of the social dynamics at play, it in fact does the opposite, "Sissy" implies a trite vacuous casual relationship, I am sorry but the subbers have completely failed here, and there was no need. You say they subbed it themselves and did not simply rip straight from the pay site. Did they use google translate perhaps?

Same shit different day!
05/12/2018 00:35 — Anonymous
Gee, let's go for a pure translation without any 'anglosition' and the subs won't make much sense. Japanese sentences are formed different than English ones.
I'll agree on the 'sissy' bit but Japanese honorifics are not 'terms' that are commonly used in the English language in any way. As a native English speaking person I never call anyone Sensei IRL, do you?
05/12/2018 05:07 *alpeia2
I did once, but they were Japanese.
05/12/2018 18:52 — Anonymous
You see, this is the big misunderstanding you friendless faggots always fall back on with this debate. Yes some neets might use an honorific now and then, but its done in exactly the same way people start talking to their close friends in al pacino accents when they've been watching the Godfather Trilogy or Goodfellas or something. Its no big deal, its just pals enjoying themselves. No one is ever suggesting we should do that shit in public. Jeez.
05/12/2018 18:55 — Anonymous
Agreed. The idea that peopoe are somehow arguing for the adoption of honorifics outside of anime is a complete red herring. The idiocy of "I don't use honorifics in real life so I do not want them in anime" is fucking moronic.
06/12/2018 07:14 — Anonymous
Geez. You honorific kids are little crying bitches.

Crying about how the subs are translated not in traditional Japanese? Are you kidding me?!?!

Fucking kids geez. Only kids would cry about something so moronic. No mature adult would bother with something so pathetic and waste of time. I'm a big anime fan and been a fan for decades but crying about something so stupid is beyond me.

If you put in as much time actually learning Japanese as you do bitching about how it was intended to be translated then your problems would be solved. I could care less how its translated as long as the translation is basically the same.

Put a pacifiers in your mouths so you stop bawling about honorifics learn and Japanese. Then you can translate the anime yourself instead of bitching about others work.

Sad thing is this is probably going in one ear and out the other. Morons are to lazy to learn Japanese or do the work themselves but have the gull to bitch about others work. Grow up.

06/12/2018 15:05 — Anonymous
*Italiano mafiosi accent* Are you a gonna bark away all day little doggy, or are you gonna bite?
06/12/2018 07:34 — Anonymous
If honorifics are there cool and if they aren't cool. As long as the translation is decent that's all that is important. Again no one really gives a crap if they are there are not except the morons who are to lazy to learn Japanese or do any work in life except to bitch about others work.

if it so important that you need the feeling of little girl cuteness of oni-kun or whatever in your anime you can get by learning Japanese or better yet get the hell out of your mommies basement and find yourself a girl or boy if that's the way you roll and then you can be cute with each other with honorifics all you want.

If I go to Japan then I will be pressed about honorifics otherwise who gives a crap.
06/12/2018 10:47 — Anonymous
You talk too much, pain in ass :(
06/12/2018 14:49 — Anonymous
Agreed. it wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't such a depressing bore.
06/12/2018 14:50 — Anonymous
It's like one single boring dude sameposting away all day against having honorifics. Old boomer who has not got a fucking clue.
06/12/2018 15:50 — Anonymous
Don't dis the Boomers dude! Boomer here and I prefer Japanese terms left intact as they are said by the characters.
06/12/2018 15:51 — Anonymous
Boomer-chan

Boomer-sama dess
06/12/2018 14:57 — Anonymous
I was oin the fence with this prior to this debate. Now however I am in total agreement that having honorific terms intact feels more natural, is less obtrusive and flows better since the subs are in alignment with the audio.
06/12/2018 15:01 — Anonymous
Subbed, yes, honorifics left in is best. Dubbed is a different matter.
06/12/2018 15:02 — Anonymous
You dub-fags can aglosize away all you like Ms sissy babe
